The build process
Early Stages
With our Rolling Cabins, the build process often begins with our trusted local Blacksmith who fabricates the metal chassis, upon which we create the wooden structure.
Basic structure
Wall and Roof Framing dictates the basic shape of the finished Houtt. This cabin is now ready for insulation, wall sheathing, electrical 1st fix, and internal fit-out.
exterior completion
For this cabin, Douglas Fir timber is being used to clad the exterior walls. The rebated joints are painted prior to installation to allow for natural wood shrinkage and movement. Black wriggly tin was specified for the roof
