What are our cabins made from?

Only the finest materials. The metal chassis is crafted from box-section steel and then foundry-poured iron wheels are attached. The walls and roof are constructed from FSC Certified softwood timber. We use either Earthwool or Sheeps Wool to insulate the structure and then clad accordingly with Douglas Fir or Cedar; both are used for their inherent resistance to decay and so avoid the need for any nasty preservative treatments. Wriggly tin is often specified either as an apex or curved roof. The remainder of the build is client-specific - pretty much anything is possible.
 

how big are they?

We recommend a minimum width of 6.5ft by 12ft long. This enables maximum flexibility when installing a bed across the width. As our Rolling Cabins are delivered by road, there will be maximum width restrictions. However they can be specified in long lengths.
 

do i need planning permission?

Probably not but it’s best to check with us or your relevant local authority. There will be different restrictions for private or business use for example.
 

how can i order a houtt?

You’ve seen our web-site so you know what we offer. After that it’s best to chat through exactly what you are after. Once we know what’s required, we will propose a suitable specification with relevant visuals if required. To confirm all orders we require a 50% deposit, with the balance due prior to delivery.
 

how long does the build take?

Usually 8-10 weeks depending on complexity, but we occasionally have a houtt available immediately from stock, so best to give us a call.
 

do we deliver?

Absolutely. We calculate delivery charges at the time of order - whether it’s to Kent or Cap Ferrat. Access to your site is the main issue that we come across. However it’s not unfeasible to crane one of our cabins over the top of your house!
